BBQ has long been a staple of masculinity –  a "blue-collar guy with big beard" kind of hobby. There’s actually nothing wrong with that. I like seeing how many racks of ribs a bachelor party can take down in one sitting.

At the same time, I couldn’t help but ask myself How can I get the rest of the family to like BBQ as much as Dad? This nagging thought, paired with Savanah and I’s love of hospitality, blossomed into this idea: Let’s start a Family-Friendly  BBQ Business.

So that’s what we did – and who better to name it after than our young niece, Celia Jo – who would never eat BBQ in a million years. We are hoping that will change!!!

I hope this explains our bright colors, our signature hot dog that has flavor blasted goldfish on it, and why my beard isn’t as long as you’d expect.

Our dream is to one day own a space where families can come on a Saturday and stay as long as they’d like. It would have a playground for the kids and undeniably excellent food for mom and dad.
